If you are a fan of Korean music groups, then make sure to visit K - Star Road in Gangnam. According to the website visitseoul.net, K- Star Road is where stars are made. Initially, we found it hard to find the area. It is near Rodeo station and Cheongdam. So, let's explore the place! Here, you will find the life-size 17 Gangnam Dols. The word Gangnam Dolls were taken from the word "Gangnam idol ". It is a long stretch of different PSY Gangnam dols. These are just some of it. Seoul is fast becoming one of the trend setters with its flair for fashion and beauty. When in Seoul, one must include Myeongdong in the itinerary. Myeongdong is one of the busiest areas in Seoul known as a shopping district. Going around by foot, one would find a myriad of retail stores carrying fashion and beauty products. But if I were to classify Myeongdong, for me it's more of a beauty haven. For someone who loves make-up, this is like a playground with so many attractions. There are so many retail stores carrying the Korean make-up brands that we love. Each shop is vying for your attention by giving away free samples. Inside the beauty shops, you can try and test the products for free. Facial masks are such a steal with their Buy 1 pack Take 1 pack offer, BB creams, lipsticks and so much more! There are so many choices that making a decision can be quite difficult. Here you can buy your gifts to your make-up addict girl friends. There's also a variety of small stalls selling drinks and food. This is what makes the place tolerable for the men. Haha! And after hours and hours of walking and checking out the stores, we grabbed a dinner at Two Two chicken before heading home. More of our Seoul adventure. Gyeongbokgung Palace is the most visited palace in South Korea and it's an attraction you can't miss. Built in 1395, it remains to be the largest of all five palaces. It holds the seat of power until 1592 when it was burnt down during a Japanese invasion. Much effort and resources has been put into it to restore the palace. Ever since it opened to the public, visitors flocked in to appreciate its beauty. The palace is a huge place with different buildings and well maintained grounds and ornaments. The detailed architecture is impressive. The Changing of the Guards is one of the highlights of this visit. Tired from exploring the place, we sat on one of the benches and just enjoyed watching the birds. To know more about All In Krea packages, check it here.
One of the "must see" sites included in our itinerary was Namiseom Island or Nami Island for short. According to the official South Korea Tourism website, Nami Island is 63 km. from Seoul. This tiny crescent shaped island is known for its awesome trees lined up along the road. It was made more popular by the filming of the television series "Wanderer in the Winter" and "Winter Sonata". To reach Nami Island, you have to take the train or bus and ferry. It is open all year round but it is during the months of March to October that is most recommended to visit the place. After getting off the ferry, there is an immigration counter. You see, Nami Island was declared an independent country to help boost its tourism. It is formally called Naminara Republic. You will even be issued a passport! Cool huh? Nature at its bestExploring Nami Island, you will relish the beauty the place it offers.
